In our opinion vintage and antique linen sheets are indispensible! We use them to throw over sofas, as tablecloths, as curtains or even to sleep under. We have found a stack of beautiful handstitched heavy gauge metis (the French word given to linen union) double sheets that are to die for! Each one has a slightly different, pretty drawn threadwork border, salvage edges, bear an embroidered “M” in red stitching at one corner and are in great condition for their age. When we acquired the they clearly had never been used, so no holes or stains!
As these are hand made items they all vary slightly in size, but they range between 212 -288cm wide by 288-328cm long.
Please note that these are antique items which show signs of wear and tear…we think this adds to their charm!
